Please Note

On-the-spot/urgent visa processing will incur a fee of AU $25.

Fees are payable by cash or by bank cheque/money order. If paying by bank cheque/money order please make cheque payable to Nepalese Consulate in Victoria. Credit cards are also accepted.

Applicants are required to send registered prepaid return envelope with a tracking number to return back passports with visa. The office of the Consulate General will not be responsible for the loss or damage of document send via mail/post. Consulate General’s office will not be responsible for any undelivered passport/s because of the insufficient postage, a weak envelope to bear up the load and other incidents occurred during transit or handling of the documents by couriers/post.

People of the following countries cannot acquire a visa on arrival at immigration entry points in Nepal. Please contact the nearest Nepalese embassy and/or consulate office for further information.

Requirements

  • You must have a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months of validity from the entry date in Nepal.
  • If you do not visit the country within the validity of a visa that is within 6 months, the visa will be canceled. The Visa fee is non-refundable.
  • Visa once issued cannot be withdrawn and visa fees cannot be refunded.
  • It must be used within six months from the date of issue. Underage of 18 applications must be signed by parents/guardians.
  • An application must be submitted online (See visa application link above).
  • Please forward the following documents after online submission
    • Passport
    • Return addressed courier pack
    • The completed electronic confirmation form

Notes

Children under the age of 10 and individuals shall be exempted from visa fees. Likewise, individuals holding Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) cards and passport holders of member states of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) will not be charged for the visa valid up to 30 days and no visa fee shall be applicable to the Chinese passport holder up to 150 days.

However, an urgent/same-day visa surcharge of NZD 25.00 will apply for the children as well. Please kindly give us a call prior to visiting the office for visa application purposes.
