Our Mission

The office of the Consulate of Nepal to New Zealand is dedicated to providing efficient, transparent, and accessible consular services to the Nepalese and wider community in New Zealand as and when required.

As an official representative of Nepal in New Zealand, the Consulate aims to build and establish a strong network for the Auckland, Waikato and Northland Region of New Zealand, and provide numerous services and needs to cater for the Nepalese communities with regards to their stay in New Zealand and provide VISA services to wider communities and traveler’s to Nepal.

The strong relationship between New Zealand and Nepal is evident not just historically but on an economic and cultural scale as well. Therefore, the office will also provide information about Nepal and New Zealand derived from key principles consisting of Trade and Investment, Language and culture & tourism.

Trade and Investment

We are committed to promoting economic relations between Nepal and New Zealand on a local, national and bilateral levels between the two friendly nations. Locally, as a number of Nepalese communities continue to grow, we will continue to support various Nepalese businesses, events, and community organisations in New Zealand.

Language and Culture

Nepal is a home to more than 30 million people, with over 120 ethnic groups and languages spoken. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting Nepalese language and culture among the Nepalese diaspora in New Zealand and their future generations.

We facilitate this initiative by actively participating in Nepalese cultural and religious events in New Zealand.

Tourism

We are a central service provider and promotional hub for those wishing to travel to Nepal. Nepal continues to grow as an increasingly popular destination for New Zealanders. Through maintaining and uplifting these foundational structures, we hope that the bilateral relationship between these two countries will continue to prosper.
